10 Best Free PC Games You Should Play In 2019

We love free PC games. You love free games. Why not make a list of the 10 best free PC games to play in 2019. From space ninjas to freaky anime nightmares, the one thing that unites them is the price: free. Oh, and they’re PC games. And thanks to Logitech G and the G432 7.1 Surround Sound gaming headset for sponsoring this video. Check out the tech behind the G432 over on the Logitech G site: http://bit.ly/2FkTkbi

Sometimes you don’t want to spend a wodge of cash, and the good news is, free games can be pretty generous these days. In fact there are so many great games, Rock Paper Shotgun put together a lost of 50 of the best free PC games. You can read the whole list here: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2019/07/25/best-free-pc-games-for-2019. We decided against making a five hour long video of freebies and boiled it down to ten favourites – these are the free PC games Astrid thinks you should be playing in 2019.

A quick note about our top 10 free games: the list includes a few games that are free to play, but that we’ve chosen to include on the grounds that we don’t find the microtransactions too intrusive and the meat of the game can be enjoyed for free. Games like Apex Legends and Warframe would easily top our best free to play games list, so they earn a place on this list. Some of our best free games are closer to browser oddities, but don’t sniff at them, because they are all damned fun. Yes, some of these are quite old for best free games for pc 2019, but we’d argue they are stone cold classics.

Ultimately, it’s a varied list, with free games for everyone’s tastes. Apex Legends is great for battle royale fans that want fluid movement and satisfying gunplay. Warframe is a free to play space ninja simulator. Doki Doki Literature Club is a free visual novel that gets a bit existential. Frog Fractions turns the edutainment genre on its head and has a lot of fun subverting expectations. Dwarf Fortress couldn’t NOT be one of the best free PC games with how detailed and beloved it is.

Team Fortress 2 is still alive and well, and to this day, it remains as one of the best free PC FPS games out there. The last time you played Line Rider was probably in the computer rooms at school, and it still holds up. Dota 2 invented the MOBA genre and there’s a reason for that. Gravity Bone is an unusual free game, but it does something really special. If you are looking for where to play these games for free, most of them are on Steam – this was almost a best free Steam games list, but for those that are harder to find, here are the links:
