Quick Tip: How to Compile a Basic Time-lapse Using Free Software on Windows: Virtual Dub


We’ve put a couple of tutorials together to help those of you who are starting to process your first few time-lapses. To keep it simple, we’ve chosen two pieces of free software that anyone can download and use whether you use Windows or Mac.

In this tutorial, Mat takes you through the basic process of using Virtual Dub (for Windows).

It’s a really simple way to process your first jpeg time-lapse. Once you get the hang of the simple processes, you can move on to more complicated ones used by professional time-lapse photographers which we’ll cover in the near future.
